Terms and Conditions

By placing an order with you are in agreement with the following terms and conditions.

General Conditions:

The client must own copyright, or have obtained reproduction rights, of all art work, trade names photographs, images, etc. provided to "your-own-page" and ensure the contents of the web do not violate UK Law.

The client shall indemnify "your-own-page" against any costs whatsoever in connection with the ownership of copyright or reproduction rights.

Client's logos, artwork, graphics, photographs and web content remains the copyright and intellectual property of the Client.

"your-own-page" reserves the right to refuse publication of any web content that it considers as being indecent, obscene or offensive.

Where possible all correspondence will be made using e-mail apart from the client submission of hard copy material for the web design and payments, where e-mail is not relevant.


 

Website Design and Hosting:

The service provided by "your-own-page" is for an integrated website design and hosting package.

"your-own-page" will produce and publish a draft Web Site design for the Client's approval, in a location only known to the Client. The design copyright of the draft shall remain the sole property of "your-own-page". Use of the design in any respect without the express written permission of "your-own-page" will constitute breach of copyright.

 "your-own-page" will complete the design and build of the Client's Web Site after receiving written confirmation that the design is satisfactory to their permanent URL. Any changes to the design after this time will be considered to be an update and must be confirmed in writing. They will be treated as either one of the free annual updates or subject to an agreed cost.

 "your-own-page" will publish the Web Site code and graphics when payment is received in full.

The client's website will contain their name, business name, its proprietor, company details, address, telephone number and e-mail address.

"your-own-page" reserves the right to amend any material poorly written or images supplied in the wrong format, in the best interests of the Client.

It is the responsibility of the Client to periodically check the website is current and factually correct at all times and inform "your-own-page" should it no longer be current.

All domain names are obtained on the clients behalf using third parties and registered in the name of "your-own-page" who will be responsible for the payment of fees and renewals on behalf of the client.

"your-own-page" does not guarantee that the requested domain name is capable of being registered. However "your-own-page" will where appropriate suggest alternative names that at that time still appear to be available.

"your-own-page", as part of its basic service, will attempt to register your site with the major free search engines. The search engines can take 8 or more weeks to index your site and there is no guarantee that they will include it.

Inclusion in a search engine database does not guarantee a high rank for your pages based on your chosen keywords. "your-own-page" does not have any influence over the placing within search engines, in fact any attempt to influence the ranking is illegal.

"your-own-page" obtains hosting services from a third party on behalf of the client. The client takes all risks in connection with the solvency and performance of the third party.

"your-own-page" shall not be liable for compatibility issues with code or any errors, omissions or failings of software code produced.

"your-own-page" shall not, in any event, be liable for interruptions of Service or down-time of the Server.


 

Pricing and Payment of Accounts:

Payment for web design and hosting services must be made as follows: 50% with order, plus 50% once the draft site is approved.

Payment shall be made in UK Pounds Sterling to "Chris Hopkins" and is due within 14 days of presentation of the invoice.

Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of the Quote. All prices quoted may be subject to change without notice after this period.

Invoices for annual renewal will be provided a minimum of 30 days before the renewal date. Payment must be made at least 14 days before the renewal date to allow domain name and other renewals to be processed.

Any payments not made within 30 days of the payment date will result in the immediate suspension of the web site.


 

Privacy:

"your-own-page" does not pass details of clients or their e-mail addresses to 3rd parties without their express permission.

"your-own-page" reserves the right to use clients e-mail for updating them in relation to their accounts and new and existing services.

"your-own-page" reserves the right to place a hyperlink to http://www.your-own-page.co.uk at the foot of any web site page designed by "your-own-page" and to place details including a link to a client's web site on the "your-own-page" web site.
